The file on the Bureau

The Bureau was founded in 2184, a precision unit hardened by the sieges of Malevelon Creek and Hellmire. In 2186 an FTL jump failed and the whole crew drifted in cryo-stasis for more than 750 years.

Salvagers cracked the pods open in early 2945, in a Stanton run by corporations and outlaws. The Bureau rebuilt itself as a private military company with one rule from the old war: ego gets people killed, so the objective comes first.

What we take on

  • Freight and logistics: the payload gets there.
  • Bounty contracts: mercenary work against the people who earned it.
  • Black-site raids: clearing underground facilities, Onyx sites included.
  • Tactical PvE operations for clients who need a facility held.

Rules of engagement

  • No unprovoked PvP, piracy or griefing.
  • Fired on, or someone contests the objective? Answer with overwhelming force, then get back to the mission.
  • Follow the plan, hold formation, and don’t loot without the go-ahead.
  • Comms stay clear and professional. Toxicity and insubordination mean review and discharge.

How the Bureau runs

  • Ranks run from Recruit to Colonel, earned by showing up and being reliable.
  • On a live contract, the Squad Leader’s call is final.
  • Every role matters: pilots, haulers, medics and boots on the ground.
  • Payouts and salvage are split fairly. Carry your weight and you get your share.
